CAZAL

When passion for a product is reflected in the design there is no one like Cari Zalloni, whose eyewear designs gained a cult following in the 80's. He was a visionary who revolutionized eyewear design, defining the typical hip-hop look of the 80's like no other brand. It all blew up when Spike Lee became Mars Blackmon in the Jordan Nike commercials. Cazal eyewear is always stunning, with finely detailed German craftsmanship. First-class processing of precious materials like titanium and gold guarantee the highest quality. Cazal is distinctive and not for the masses, just for the few who appreciate the bold and the brash epitomized by the signature look of its heritage.

Kala is well known for perfectly round eyewear. Recreating iconic frames from the past as well as designing new and unusual shapes with a California vibe for today’s wearer. My friend Daniel, creator of Kala eyewear, has a strong passion for his craft. His acetate frames are handmade in California with premium, raw acetate materials imported from Japan and Italy.

Kala cuts and polishes each frame by hand and they have been doing so in California for more than 25 years. Kala metal frames are all skillfully crafted by metallurgic artisans in a luxury factory in Japan. VUARNET

Vuarnet began on Boissy d’Anglas in Paris in 1957 where Roger Pouilloux had his workshops. This avant-garde optician, passionate by ski, will revolutionize the sunglasses world by inventing an exceptional glass, able to both protect him on slopes and provide a clear vision of the relief in overcast weather.
Pouilloux found an Olympic skier he admired and offered him a radical new lens in a tough lightweight nylon frame; and, in the next Olympics, results were obvious -- the skier's performance had been enhanced from the collaboration.
Vuarnet quickly became a fashion must-have, worn by Mick Jagger and, of course, made famous by Jeff Bridges in “The Big Lebowski."
Made the old fashioned way, with slow methodical construction using time honored techniques, Vuarnet is a sunglass that stands above the crowd. Come find out why it can be a rediscovered treasure.

RAY-BAN

Ray-ban, of course, needs no introduction. It was in good fortune that Gregor served his early apprenticeship under a thirty-year veteran Bausch and Lomb guild optician who formed with strict and attentive oversite critical early skills that resonate today in the care and craftsmanship he and CustomEyes always will emulate and honor.

Although no longer the great American company it is still an American icon, and as long as the modern Ray-Ban eyewear continues that tradition of classic elegance and style with quality construction, CustomEyes will represent it proudly. Always value-priced, Ray-Ban suns and prescription wear offer truly iconic styling and great good looks. Come see the special collection put together just for CustomEyes in our Rayban Collection.

MYKITA

Founded in Berlin in 2003, the first MYKITA premises were settled in a former children’s day care, called Kita in German. This inspired not only the name My Kita, but also the culture of curiosity and play. Mykita starts with material integrity, emphasizing the most appealing properties of the materials the company works with yet styled with a bit of whimsy and finished for incredible strength and weightlessness. With no screws or solder joints a Mykita frame is a wonder of simple yet superior craftsmanship.
The product design is straightforward – seeing how something is built has become the most recognizable feature of Mykita frames. The first collection featured an openly displayed spiral hinge, a mechanical solution that became an incidental styling element and a hallmark of Mykita frames. This original patented hinge represents the guiding principle for design at Mykita: the technical solution must also be aesthetic.
If you are searching for a clean simple design with nearly indestructible engineering, Mykita frames are for you. Lightweight and strong, designed and manufactured for unparalleled longevity, a Mykita frame can be the frame you purchase with timeless styling that can last for several years of prescription changes through even the most active lifestyle.
