When it comes to insurance, we choose to stay independent. We are non-participating providers and do not allow insurance companies to dictate your quality of care.

When eyewear shops work with (and are owned by) conglomerates, their ability to source the best for their customers is severely limited. The products you find might at first appear to be a steal, some less than $100. What the loyal customer does not get to see, however, is that those frames were made overseas for far, far less, purchased in bulk from budget manufacturers. What is expertly disguised as a bargain is actually a cheap product that will not be kind to your eyes, let alone last.

We made it our mission from the start to serve Wilmington, NC, and beyond with the latest technology and best-designed frames. We do not overcharge for our products, nor do we trick our guests with huge profit margins, and most importantly, we are not forced to comply with insurance restrictions and corporate mediocracy.

As non-participant providers, our clients have occasionally been reimbursed by their insurance providers. We make no guarantees or estimate what that might be, as it is entirely dependent on your provider.
This situation is not unique to eyewear, and is the same case for providers across the American healthcare industry. Ultimately, the insurance provider dictates which price the client pays.
