CustomEyes to host Designer Show for Gucci, Cazal in Wilmington’s South Front District on October 6, 2022

WILMINGTON, N.C. (August 1, 2022) — CustomEyes, Wilmington’s premier designer-driven eyeglass shop, will host a fashion show to present Gucci and Cazal’s 2022 frame collections.

Watch as models show off the latest frames from this year’s collection, styled and perfectly paired with fashions sourced from Wilmington’s local shops.

Ambassadors from both Gucci and Cazal will help present the frame collections and all frames will be available for purchase. After the show, guests can attend a private fitting to sample the latest looks and work with CustomEyes to match their style preferences, skin tones, and bone structure to the perfect pair of eyewear, or several.

“We want to show Wilmington the entire collection for Gucci and Cazal along with clothing from local businesses so we can emphasize that eyewear doesn’t have to be an afterthought, but a statement and another way to express yourself,” said CustomEyes owner and optician Gregor Owen. “We see customers come into our shop with an inherently elegant air about them, but then they have ordinary and sometimes poorly designed eyeglass frames that don't necessarily compliment their look. Your eyewear is one of the first things people notice about you, and we can help you convey something more true to your style and who you are.”

Tickets are on sale now for the event coming this fall at The Lookout at Ironfront. Each ticket will include a drink ticket and raffle ticket. Raffle ticket prizes include one of two free Shamir digital progressives valued at $560 each, one each of a Gucci or Cazal frame, and a $50 gift certificate to The Second Glass Wine Bar, a free session at Native Salt Cave, or a visit to Beauty in Bloom.

Proceeds from the fashion show will benefit Coastal Horizons, an addiction recovery treatment center in Wilmington. 

“Using this opportunity to garner support for Coastal Horizons is near and dear to our hearts as everyone has, in some way, been affected by addiction,” Owen said. “Coastal Horizons is an inspiring organization and we are thrilled all funds raised at this show will stay local in Wilmington to support addiction recovery and the many other programs they coordinate.”
